Summary:
Great opportunity exists for an Automation Engineer to join the Automation Team on an exciting Pharmaceutical Greenfield Site Project in Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reliable and robust system design to meet business and process requirements for a Process Control System (DCS and PLC/SCADA) and vendor packaged equipment including integration to both upstream and downstream systems such as Filling Line, Utilities, MES and Data Historian.
- Coordination of Design team and Process Control System Vendor to achieve successful implementation of the Process Control System.
- Creation, review, and approval of Automation/OT aspects of project deliverables, such as Schedules, User Requirements, Design Documents, IQ/OQ/FAT Protocols for L2 Systems ranging from Standalone Lab Equipment to Aseptic Filling Line.
- Attend and Support Qualification and Validation activities.
- Support the development of site procedures for the administration and maintenance of all relevant systems.
- Configure Network Parameters (IP Address, DNS etc.) and Test communication between various systems over relevant Firewall Ports.
- Create System Server and Network Requirements Documentation and coordinate the timely delivery of such with the IT Department.
- Participate in Vendor and System Assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s in engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within life sciences industry.
- Successful candidate must be a strong team player, working in a cross functional team.
- CQV and full SDLC experience is essential.
- Experience in design and implementation of DCS and PLC/SCADA platforms.
- Excellent understanding of ISA-95, ISA-88 standards.
- Experience in OT Networks Design, Configuration and Testing.
- Experience in L2 – L3 System Integration Projects.
- Implementation of DCS or PLC/SCADA system for a Drug Product, aseptic Fill-Finish facility is desirable.
