Reliability and Maintenance Engineer

Summary:
Our client is a pharmaceutical company based in Tipperary looking for a Reliability and Maintenance Engineer who will develop preventative maintenance schedules & routines for new equipment in the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with vendors to determine maintenance strategy for new GMP equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance routines to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs for equipment performance, analyzing data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors and service providers to align with business needs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure maintenance strategies comply with GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure maintenance activities align with production needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Ensure a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of capital/expense projects.
  • Track and report progress as required against deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have as a minimum a 3rd level qualification in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in Pharm/Bio Pharm industry with experience in maintenance, engineering and project management practices.
  • Proven knowledge, appreciation and experience of working in strongly regulated GMP environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in project management.
  • Excellent communication /presentation skills.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.
