Project Manager

Summary:
Tandem Project Management is looking for a Project Manager to join it’s team to manage a variety of projects within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical devices sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Actively pursue new business opportunities for the company, promoting the company positively at all times.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations.
• Prepare proposals including execution plans and commercial elements.
• Attend industry functions, company promotions and marketing activities as required.
• Support any other activity that is necessary for the general management of the company.
• Provide mentoring to colleagues/interns as requested by Leadership Team.
• Prepare Project Start Up Checklist.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Ensure schedules are prepared and monitor progress, ensuring critical path is maintained and implementing mitigation plans as necessary.
• Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and contract administration.
• Oversee the procurement of contractors and vendor packages.
• Maintain project action register, decision log, risk register and issue list.
• Prepare weekly updates and monthly reports for clients including status on safety, schedule, cost, procurement, information required, risks, issues.
• Manage project hours against execution plan.
• Identify and agree variations with the Client before proceeding.
• Oversee the preparation of design packages contractor and vendors.
• Coordinate design packages between Tandem, sub consultants, vendors and contractors.
• Walk down tender enquiries with contractors and vendors, issue clarifications, chair bid clarification meetings and prepare tender reports.
• Manage and expedite vendor design, fabrication, FAT, installation and SAT.
• Partake in constructability reviews.
• Oversee construction phase of projects.
• Partake in project CQV strategy development.
• Ensure handover packs are issued by contractors and vendors.
• Prepare Project Close Out Checklists.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Chemical Process Engineering or similar discipline
• Project Management qualification an advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working on projects within the life sciences industry.
