Summary:
Tandem Project Management is looking for a Project Manager to join it’s team to manage a variety of projects within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical devices sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue new business opportunities for the company, promoting the company positively at all times.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations.
- Prepare proposals including execution plans and commercial elements.
- Attend industry functions, company promotions and marketing activities as required.
- Support any other activity that is necessary for the general management of the company.
- Provide mentoring to colleagues/interns as requested by Leadership Team.
- Prepare Project Start Up Checklist.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Ensure schedules are prepared and monitor progress, ensuring critical path is maintained and implementing mitigation plans as necessary.
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and contract administration.
- Oversee the procurement of contractors and vendor packages.
- Maintain project action register, decision log, risk register and issue list.
- Prepare weekly updates and monthly reports for clients including status on safety, schedule, cost, procurement, information required, risks, issues.
- Manage project hours against execution plan.
- Identify and agree variations with the Client before proceeding.
- Oversee the preparation of design packages contractor and vendors.
- Coordinate design packages between Tandem, sub consultants, vendors and contractors.
- Walk down tender enquiries with contractors and vendors, issue clarifications, chair bid clarification meetings and prepare tender reports.
- Manage and expedite vendor design, fabrication, FAT, installation and SAT.
- Partake in constructability reviews.
- Oversee construction phase of projects.
- Partake in project CQV strategy development.
- Ensure handover packs are issued by contractors and vendors.
- Prepare Project Close Out Checklists.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Chemical Process Engineering or similar discipline
- Project Management qualification an advantage.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience working on projects within the life sciences industry.
