Process Technician

Summary:
A Process Technician is required for a Medical Device company based in Galway. The Process Technician will be responsible for supporting technology transfer projects, machine installation and de-commissioning, troubleshooting / fault-finding and routine maintenance of on-site manufacturing machinery ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support on various projects across the site.
• All work to comply with GMP and safety standards.
• Document all work done and conduct handovers with relevant personnel before leaving the factory.
• Communicate and co-operate with Maintenance Management, Engineering Teams, Production Management, Machine Operators and other Technicians.
• Escalate ongoing issues to Maintenance Management, Process Engineering and Production Management.
• Support preventative maintenance and continual improvement initiatives as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2+ years’ experience working with manufacturing equipment and within a GMP environment would be desirable.
• Drug coating experience desirable.
• Lean manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Troubleshooting/fault-finding experience on highly automated production equipment.
