Summary:

Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based in East Cork, is seeking a Packaging Equipment Engineer to support equipment lifecycle management and reliability initiatives on-site. The successful candidate will play a key role in spare parts management, preventive maintenance optimisation, and equipment change control. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors, with a strong focus on improving equipment uptime in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Equipment Spare parts management system in collaboration with Maintenance Team.
  • Source & identify equipment spare parts with appropriate equipment
  • Collaborating with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance
  • Review current PM tasks and schedules in line with equipment downtime trends to identify & implement changes to improve equipment up time.
  • Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Complete site change management activities for the modification of
  • Support cross-functional in-house and external project
  • Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant science/engineering
  • 2-3 years (minimum) of engineering experience within a Pharmaceutical

  • Experience in working in cross functional teams and in a GMP Manufacturing
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements of the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
