Summary:
We are seeking an Instrumentation Technician (Electrical) to support a biopharmaceutical construction project in West Dublin. The successful candidate will participate in instrumentation walkdowns and assist with the installation instrumentation devices.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in instrumentation walkdowns to identify and record punch list items.
- Assist with the installation, termination, calibration and testing of instrumentation devices (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature, level, analytical).
- Support loop checks, signal verification, and functional testing.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and instrument schedules.
- Support the commissioning and documentation process in line with project procedures.
- Adhere to all site GMP, EHS and electrical/instrumentation safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of daily work, installation progress, and test results.
- Assist in basic troubleshooting during installation and start-up phases.
- Collaborate effectively with site teams, contractors, and commissioning personnel.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Fully qualified Electrician or Instrumentation Technician, with relevant trade certification (e.g., SOLAS / FÁS apprenticeship).
- Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar role on pharma, biopharma, or manufacturing construction projects.
- Familiarity with instrumentation systems, ATEX requirements, and safe working practices in live environments.
