Summary:
My client is a Pharmaceutical company who is looking for an E&I Designer to join their team in Cork. The Electrical/Instrument Designer will be working as part of a multidiscipline project engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the E&I Design as part of a multi discipline projects team.
- Produce wiring diagrams and schematics.
- LV electrical design, including MCCs, distribution boards, cable systems etc.
- Design of Life Safety Systems including Fire Alarm and PA.
- Cable selection and sizing.
- Generating detailed scope of works for E&I contractor for tender / procurement process.
- Generation of I/O Lists.
- Co-ordination of Electrical Services (3D Modelling).
- Preparation of E&I Deliverables, including instrument data sheets, schedules, hook up drawings, wiring and block diagrams, instrument loops, E&I Services layouts, schedules, load study’s etc.
- Participate in Constructability and Safety reviews.
- Review project scope, budget and schedule.
- Producing cost estimates for E&I Projects.
- Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
- All aspects of Health & Safety on site.
- The ability to work independently on a wide range of E&I projects through the full project cycle from concept, estimate through to Construction/ Commissioning and Handover.
Qualifications & Experience:
- E&I Engineering qualification is preferred along with 5 years’ experience in Construction environments.
- Must be able to use AutoCad and produce accurate drawings.
- 3D Modelling capability is an advantage (Plant 3D).
- AMTECH Design Software.
- Candidate must have proficiency in a windows based environment and software (Word, PowerPoint, project, advanced excel and access).
- Good communication skills essential.
