Summary:
Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Waterford, is seeking a BMS Engineer to support projects. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Building Management Systems (BMS) combined with HVAC and mechanical systems experience.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise the Building Management System to ensure reliable performance and environmental compliance.
- Support the maintenance and operation of HVAC and mechanical systems across cleanroom and GMP manufacturing areas.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives related to BMS/HVAC systems.
- Review and manage documentation such as URS, SOPs, change controls, and technical drawings related to the BMS and utilities.
- Support qualification and validation activities including commissioning, IQ/OQ protocols for new and existing systems.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering, and QA to support site activities.
- Assist in vendor coordination and management for system servicing, calibration, and upgrades.
- Provide technical input on system upgrades, expansions, and energy efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar BMS/HVAC-related role within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharma environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with Building Management Systems.
- Familiarity with systems such as Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, or equivalent BMS platforms is desirable.
