Summary:
An Automation Infrastructure Engineer is required for a biopharmaceutical company in West Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Support critical-to BioPharma Automation Infrastructure and ensure their high availability reducing or eliminating unplanned downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain new / existing automation infrastructure systems and applications, including configuration of virtual environments.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring, alerting and response to network and system issues affecting performance, functionality, and availability.
- Maintain relationships with critical software vendors, managing escalations and resolution of technical issues.
- Work closely with corporate IT security to support cybersecurity initiatives on manufacturing IT systems.
- Manage scheduling, implementation and reporting of preventative maintenance, OS and Application patching and upgrades on manufacturing systems network Ensure appropriate monitoring, alerting and response to network and system issues affecting functionality and availability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant degree.
- In-depth experience with Windows Server (2012-2022) (Active Directory / DNS / WSUS/Group Policy).
- Experience with VMware 6.x.
- Experience with NetApp SAN Administration.
- Experience with SQL Server 2012-> 2019.
- Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery solutions within virtualised and physical environments.
- Experience with Windows Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience with Thin Client Software solutions.
- Working knowledge of High Availability infrastructure.
- Experience deploying and managing Server and Network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Control Systems (DeltaV) Administration desirable.
- Knowledge of cGMP particularly as it applies to biopharma manufacturing and automated systems.
- Understanding of documentation, such as Hardware Design and Network Architecture design.
- Understanding of key LAN principles in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment.
